  • Branding Yourself Will Create Long Lasting Success

    Partner 12:00 am on February 29, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

Branding yourself can take a little time but once done, you’re in business and making the kind of money you had hoped for in the first place.I am often asked how an individual can brand themselves and if personal branding is as valuable as corporate branding.Truth is personal branding is easier than company branding.Strong brands are clear about who they are and what they are not. Which is why branding yourself can be an easy process. The key to successfully branding yourself and doing it effectively is to first establish a personal brand identity. Thus I like to encourage you to consider branding yourself as well things you touch and activities you are involved in. Companies who focus on branding will stand out amongst the crowd. At its essence, personal branding is about the authentic and very special promise of value you offer.I strongly believe in investing in a brand and branding myself and have decided to put the money where my mouth is.

You also can post comments to websites that address your industry or interests and become known for offering insightful, useful comments. The power of recommendation is all about you. Products will come and go, but a brand will live on forever. Think karma, think soft selling, and think of what comes to your mind when I say Coke, Apple, or IBM. Your bio is a powerful aspect of your company. Branding yourself can actually have such a dramatic effect that you will become hunted rather than being the hunter for your next job opportunity.

    Brand

Get a fresh new look and brand yourself with a style all your own.By branding yourself effectively you will:Establish yourself as an expert in your chosen field. They will identify with your brand which is you.The truth is, branding yourself can be even more important than the actual products or services that you sell.If you brand yourself instead of your product, what happens is that when people think of you they think of your product.I do know the power of a brand and know what it can do for you.Ultimately, you’re replaceable if you’re not a brand. And if you want to build a brand, get into marketing.

    Personal

The brand called you is the ultimate resource for building your personal brand, one that sells you, not your product or company.Branding yourself can be your biggest differentiator, but how many people actually spend time focusing on building their own strong personal brand.I personally think the new internet marketing revolution is here, well with all of the social networks popping up all over the internet.

    Success

To be successful, a positive initial impact is required and then effective communications have to be sustained.Take action today and work towards becoming procrastination-free and learn marketing success. This simple measure can increase web site traffic significantly, which is the single most crucial element necessary for success on the web. If you are a person who can visualize some awesome long-term goals for success, and have the dedication and self-discipline to do whatever it takes, network marketing or mlm could provide you some of the greatest benefits you can imagine.Branding yourself can make all of the difference in the success of your business and your career.

  • What I Learned About Sales From My 9 Year Old

    Partner 12:00 am on February 29, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

Sometimes you can learn amazing things from watching kids.

Since my son was three years old I have been generating income from the internet. He as heard me talking about making money, building web sites, and building a business.

What has happened is that he has turned into the smallest entrepreneur I have ever seen.

For example, he has started a small business in our cul-de-sac. Once a week he goes to 5 houses and picks up all the brown piles their dog(s) have left during the week – he picks up dog poop in their backyards. He pulls down $4 per house, so about $20 per week for a couple hours of work. He loves it and the neighbors are happy to pay!

But that is not really the focus of this story. You see a while back we had a garage sale in our neighborhood. This thing is massive – people come from all over to attend this neighborhood sale. Well, we had some junk to get rid of, so we had a sale as well.

He decided that he was going to sell water bottle (ice cold!) and donate the proceeds to some local victims of a huge tornado. So he made up a sign and filled the cooler with ice and bottled water.

He was in our driveway all day. Mostly sitting behind the cooler and sign in his lawn chair. He was making sales. Then one time, he got up and met someone in the driveway and said “Would you like to buy a bottle of water for fifty cents? I am donating all the money to the tornado victims.”

Guess what? The guy bought two bottles!

Emboldened by his success he started doing this every time someone walked up to our driveway. His sales skyrocketed!

In 12 hours of total selling he made $49 and sold 90 bottles of water.

I started thinking about this powerful lesson and how I could apply it to my network marketing business.

Do you see the one simple thing he did that changed the outcome of his business?

He opened his mouth and told people what he was doing. He did not rely on his sign or advertising to generate the sale. He simply told people what he was selling and asked them if they wanted to buy.

I can think of a many occasions where if I had simply opened my mouth and shared what I was doing in my business, or told someone about the product, I could have made the sale.

Wanna see a change in your business? Just open your mouth and start talking, and be sure to ask for the sale!

  • Be Prepared For Business Matchmaking Events

    Partner 12:00 am on February 29, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

Just yesterday I participated in a business matchmaking event sponsored by the local SBA and prime contractors in the Houston area. These types of events of held across the country to help small business owners meet with decision makers in government agencies and local prime contractors. I have attended these events previously but did not get a lot of traction from the event that led to referrals and new business. So this year I decided upon a new approach.

My business is an instructional design and training development company that specializes in creating web-based training. Now in the matchmaking format you only have 15 minutes to give your sales pitch about your company, so you don’t have the time or space to conduct a computer-based “show and tell”. So I decided to prepare a “brag book” that consisted of screen shots of recent work that highlighted my company’s capabilities.

I organized the information in a three-ring binder to show various tools and techniques that we used to save clients money and time in creating training products.

In addition to showing the normal introduction screens, I demonstrated how we can take a lackluster multiple choice test and add audio and graphics to make it more engaging to the learner.

Throughout the presentation I used key phrases and slogans about my company to help the organizational representatives shape at mental picture of how my company can fulfill a need in their company. You must remember that large companies are reaching out to small business owners. My goal was to create a niche service area that companies can easily tap into when they have quick turnaround projects.

My advice to you is to re-think how you are presenting your small business at matchmaking events or when you are on sales calls. Sometimes it is best to leave the computer behind, even if you are in the technology buisness and come prepare to show and tell with paper-based flyers and documents that “tell your story”.

The result from my matchmaking experience was that four of nine companies told me that I was the best prepared company presentation and they were going to advocate for me set up appointments with their organiztions. You can have the same results!

Here is a quick checklist for your next sales call:
    - Business cards with the basic information on the front and additional information on the backside, including business certifications, NAISC codes, and your company mission
    - Company flyers with lots of pictures that represent successful projects you have completed
    - Company Capability Statement that is directed to government agencies that contains specific codes and a narrative about how your company conforms to specific government requirements
    - Three-ring binder “brag book” with screen shots of project work that tell a story of how you created workable solutions for clients

My last recommendation is that in the matchmaking event, you are the star. Don’t start off by asking about them, this is your bully pulpit. Seize the opportunity to sell them on you and your company capabilities. Don’t waste your time on a dialog – get in there and sell, sell, sell. Then ask for an appointment to come in and start a dialog.

  • The Importance of Having a Dream

    Partner 12:00 am on February 29, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

When I was much younger and didn’t know how the world works, I had several dreams. Looking back, it seems like I dreamt more than I actually lived life. When I grew up I would be an astronaut, a professional boxer, and a rock star all at the same time. Realistic? Not very. Still, as a kid, I knew how to dream, and dream big.

Unfortunately, life has a way of knocking us around sometimes, and we start to view our dreams as foolish wishes. Some of us stop dreaming altogether. We just accept whatever comes our way. Our lives become gray. We adopt the attitudes of those around us as our own, and forget about the child inside, screaming to get out. We call it growing up.

Most Network Marketers, however, haven’t forgotten the value of dreaming. You can hear it in their voices, feel it in their smiles. They know their dreams have value, and are not just wasted time dwelling on foolish thoughts. Their dreams are the beginning of something awesome.

Dreams present us with the overall picture of how we want our lives to be. They know no bounds. They are vague and unfocused, and because of this they override the critical factor in us that acts as a censor. You can dream about traveling to Mars, or having a love affair with a movie star. In dreams, nothing is impossible.

Dreaming springs out of that vast, inner reservoir we call the subconscious mind. Your subconscious doesn’t know the difference between what’s real and what’s imagined. As far as my subconscious mind knows, I’ve been a member of Led Zeppelin, have flown aboard the space shuttle many times, and was married to Julia Roberts.

Emotions also live in the subconscious mind. Think about it; how often do we choose to laugh or cry? Sometimes, in fact, it’s difficult to stop doing these with all our conscious effort. If we close our eyes and think about something funny, chances are a smile will appear. We may even laugh out loud.

As a clinical hypnotherapist, I work with the subconscious mind all the time. I’ve regressed grown men back to where they were eight years old, and crying like a baby. I’ve seen entranced people shiver with cold on a ninety degree day. I’m thoroughly convinced of the power of the subconscious mind.

Emotions and dreams relate to one another in a big way. Emotion, in fact, fuels the dream. If you didn’t “want it so bad you could taste it,” what would be the point of the dream in the first place? If you didn’t believe that realizing the dream would “feel” so good, why bother?

As important as dreaming is, however, we must keep in mind that it is only the beginning, albeit a necessary one. In its vagueness, it lacks any cohesion. Without focus, it’s powerless to bring about any kind of lasting change in your life. For that, it needs to be molded and shaped.

Molding your dream requires input from your logical mind. This is where your dream gets broken down into manageable chunks. Want to be an astronaut? First, you work hard to get good grades in school, take the right courses, etc. Then go to college, majoring in math and science. Join the Air Force, follow the curriculum, and you’re on your way.

You can see how this morphs from being a dream, and into something else. We call these goals. Goals can only be reached after they are set. They can only be set after a dream has been conceived.

If the dream does not grow into something else, it eventually dies. My own dream of rock stardom died because I wasn’t willing to do what was necessary to make it a reality. I did a lot of talking and thinking about it, but it could not survive with a base of practicality.

How do you discover what your dream truly is? Ask yourself this question: If money and time were not issues, how would my life be different? How would I spend my day? Where would I live? Who would I be with?

Dreaming is the seed. It’s not difficult, and you probably did it a lot when you were a kid. It doesn’t take much thought, only emotion, and a letting go of perceived limitations. It does, however, take much nurturing and attention to bring it to fruition, and to see it as reality.

  • When Is a Network Marketing Opportunity the Wrong Choice?

    Partner 12:00 am on February 29, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

Network marketing is a very popular way to start a home business. You get to represent great products that you really enjoy, and build up a nice income. You can even help people you know get started themselves.

But for a lot of people it’s the wrong choice… at least until they’ve really thought about why they want to join the opportunity.

    1. You think it’s an easy road to riches.

Just as with any other business, more people fail in network marketing than succeed. Those who succeed work hard on their business and take it seriously.

It also takes time. Those who are really good at it can build up a fair income within a year, but most take longer.

    2. You think the only way to build a downline is to pester everyone you know.

That’s the old way to build a downline. There are all kinds of options that don’t involve alienating those you care about.

    3. You’re considering options only on what you think will bring in the most money.

Money’s great, but your enthusiasm for the product is what will help you to make sales. Also, if you choose a product line you feel awkward or uncomfortable selling, you won’t impress potential customers.

There’s a big reason that people talk about passion in the network marketing industry. Passion is what helps to drive you when things are tough. It’s what impresses your customers with the quality of your products.

Some people can cope with just their passion to earn money, but it’s much better to be passionate about the product as well.

    4. You don’t want to sell or market.

Some opportunities trumpet the lack of needing to sell their products. But what you still have to do is market them, which is really an aspect of selling. There are many ways you can promote your business, from the standbys of handing out business cards, carrying samples and telling everyone you meet about your business, to online marketing through websites.

The great part about network marketing opportunities today is that you can promote some of them 100% online. If the home party scene really isn’t your thing, you can try an opportunity that lets you develop your own website to get sales and build your downline.

    5. You’ve hopped from opportunity to opportunity.

Many people spend so much time hoping for success in network marketing that they don’t give the opportunities they join the time to work out. If they don’t get instant success, off they go to the next opportunity!

If you’re still in that frame of mind that the next opportunity will be the big one, it’s time to slow down and review your expectations. You can’t assume that you will have instant success, or even success in 6 months. Giving up one opportunity and joining another means you keep having to start over. It’s not a way to succeed.

Being in the right frame of mind is one of the key steps to succeeding in direct sales. Expectations that are too high, fear of committing to an opportunity and other problems can make it harder for you to build a solid business.

  • 3 Tickets to Internet Riches With Articles, Press Releases & MySpace

    Partner 12:00 am on February 29, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

So, you want to be an Internet millionaire, huh? If so, then you need an effective marketing strategy. It doesn’t matter what you are selling. There are consumer groups for all products and services online. What is important is developing a clear understanding of how to market and who to market to. If your marketing is ineffective, it won’t matter who is exposed to it. If your marketing is effective, but sent to the wrong consumers, you may as well have never created it.

Here are three very effective (and inexpensive) methods for driving hot, targeted leads to your landing pages, squeeze pages and/or websites. Each can provide you with a continuous flow of traffic that is pre-sold and ready to allot you some of their hard-earned cash:

    -Article writing & submission:

o Costs only time and thought

o Brands you or your product

o Establishes your expertise in a given niche

o Attracts potential consumers that already have an interest in what you are promoting

o Is very search engine friendly

Article marketing is taking off as one of the leading free traffic generation methods on thei internet today. You don’t have to be an expert writer to do it. Take what you know and write it down in friendly, readable terms. Act like you’re talking to a close friend. Then submit the articles you write to free submission sites and watch the traffic begin to flow. Those who visit your sites will be pre-sold and ready to purchase!

    -Press Releases

o Go out to masses of journalists

o Provide relevant information for consumers via trusted mediums

o Are not perceived as advertisements by consumers

    o Are unbounded in reach

You can learn how to write your own PR’s or hire a writer to do so for you. Either way, submitting press releases to submission sites cannot be overlooked as an important element of your overall marketing strategy. All successful businesses both online and off utilize the powerful force of press releases as integral components of their marketing schemes.

    -MySpace:

o Gets tens of millions of hits every day – #1 on the planet!

o Has over 204 million registered profiles

o Gets highly-qualified prospects to your pages through principals of attraction marketing

o Adds thousands of new, opportunity-starved prospects every single day

You need to create more than a single user profile to maximize your MySpace reach. Vary them. One profile may not gain the attention of a given prospect while another one may do so well. MySpace is a literal playground for Internet Marketers. It is free and can gain you unlimited sales.

You need to utilize all three of these methods regularly in order to maximize their value to you. Be consistent and don’t expect overnight miracles. With a little time and diligence, you will see an excellent increase in motivated, honed traffic. Articles, Press Releases & My Space!

  • Understanding a Need for Leadership Training

    Partner 12:00 am on February 29, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

What was long thought of a desperate approach to failed leadership, executive leadership coaching has made its way into many “successful” businesses as a mainstay. IBM for instance, has permanent staff whose role is strictly to train upper management. Successful companies are looking to maintain that winning streak. Executive leadership training is meant to help executives and CEOs learn about their methods and help them go where they want to go with their business, bringing their workers and constituents along — willingly — with them. This is done by evoking change in the company’s culture.

    Some Training Approaches

For the most part, executive leadership training will begin with management: CEO, executives and general managers. It’s often broken into groups, or a series of one-on-one conversations with the guide. Also if there are special groups in the office that are given specific tasks, training is provided by some guide teams to help organize an effective structure.

Depending on where management wants to go with the company and the flow of information the guide typically wants to understand the culture and thought process within the company and advises them on:

    - Building trust for executives and staff alike
    - Aligning belief system and promoting teamwork
    - Empowering all levels to take ownership of their work
    - Refining communication and transparency

Some of the pitfalls within the structure are also looked into. Mostly this has to do with the overall corporate attitude, or culture as described before.

Training is geared to create a strong corporate culture. A strong culture is where all staff responds to work direction because of strong alignment with upper management. This is basically saying the idea of merely doing something because “it’s my job,” rather than a personal feeling and the belief that doing the work is the right thing to do.

There are pitfalls to a mindless following of this as well and executive leadership training is meant to train leaders in recognizing this and finding a balance between alignment verses bandwagoning and blind allegiance mentality, which can stifle creative independent thought.

You may be familiar with past employers who, you can tell, held a position in a company that suffered from bad culture. One dominant style of executive leadership style is where there is a micro controlled system will a lot of policy and negative reinforcement measures. Bureaucracy and procedural adherence is forced upon new employees. If not like this, then the groupthink opposite could occur.

Everybody is blissfully following allegiance and working happily in their position while the company could be suffering terribly and implodes. One may venture to think of companies in the tech industry during the turn of the 21st century that were overvalued or had corruption run rampant — they possibly had a slice of this negative culture style.

Art Gib is a writer for Partners in Leadership (partnersinleadership.com) who provide executive leadership coaching. They will direct a company’s executive team in training seminars, which were initially made popular by the book “The OZ Principle.”

  • What Your Prospect Really Wants (Hint: It's Not Listening to You Ramble On)

    Partner 12:00 am on February 29, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

When I first got into Network Marketing a little more than ten years ago, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I knew what I wanted from a business, and my upline told me I wouldn’t be disappointed.

Unfortunately, after I paid my money, I never saw them again. Left to my own limited devices, I soon quit.

I still know what I want in a business, and I don’t think I’m alone. In fact, I believe most people want about the same thing.

People want a business that’s simple. They don’t have the time or desire to learn a complex system that may or may not make money. They don’t want their upline telling them they need to go to monthly pep rallies to be successful, or to be brainwashed into believing that the company’s products will save the planet.

They want to know that this is something they can do and teach others to do. Most don’t have sales backgrounds, and resent telemarketers calling and trying to sell them something. How is your business different? Can you teach others how not to feel like a telemarketer? Is it possible to do this business and maintain integrity?

Secondly, people want a business that’s fun. Most spend eight hours a day working a regular job. The last thing they want when the get home is to do something they don’t enjoy. Knowing myself, I know I won’t stick to something if I see it as a chore. There are many other options I have when I get off work. I could hang out with friends, read a book, or watch TV. Why would a prospect choose to do your business instead?

Fran Tarkenton said, “If it ain’t fun, you’re not doing it right.” If you’re not having fun with your business, others will know. They can also tell if you are having fun, and will want a piece of what you’ve got. You cannot fake genuine fun.

My Network Marketing coach, for example, sounds like one of the most fun guys on the planet. It’s a joy to speak with him, and I’m sure he’d be a blast to hang out with. He exudes an energy that attracts people. Nobody would question that he loves what he’s doing. Anybody would want to be like that.

If you don’t enjoy your business, how will you convince others to join you? Will you lie and tell them how wonderful this business is, when you have to force yourself to do it? If working your business is anything but fun, then it’s time to look at how you’re doing it and make some changes.

This might be obvious, but people want to know if they can make money doing this business. There’s so much talk about scams and pyramid schemes these days, many people are naturally skeptical. It’s up to you to shoot straight with them. Leave out all the hype, and tell them exactly how you make money doing this business.

When explaining this, the simpler and more to the point you are, the better. People are bombarded by ads filled with nonsensical claims all day long. One sure way to turn a potential business partner off is to include hype in your presentation. Tell it like it is, good or bad, and you will profit.

Keep in mind, however, that although most people list money as one of their main reasons for starting a business, what they really mean is that they want what that money can give them. This can be time, freedom, or even a new house in a better part of town. Always look beyond the money when speaking with a prospect.

People want to know if they can rely on you for help. Most are afraid of going it alone, and want a kind of safety net in case they need it. We’ve all heard about, and maybe even experienced, uplines taking the money and running. This is a valid concern, and you need to address it.

Your prospect needs to know that you’re in this for the long haul, that you’re not going to sign them up and disappear. Not only that, but you need to point them in the right direction, so that they may discover resources independent of you.

To really be successful in Network Marketing, you simply must think like your prospect and place her wants and needs over your own. By doing this, she’ll feel you understand her. People flock to those they feel understand.

Gregory McGuire is a successful network marketer living in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

  • Top 10 Low Cost Business Franchises in the UK

    Partner 12:00 am on February 29, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

Starting a business often means making large capital investments, especially in the very beginning. In fact, many financial advisors recommend that you plan on losing some money as you get started. However, before you dismiss yourself as not having enough money to get going, keep in mind that not all ventures are so financially draining.

What so many aspiring businessmen and women do not know is that franchising dramatically reduces the financial risks associated with building a new company. Furthermore, some of the most lucrative opportunities are low cost business franchises. They require very little start-up capital, few or no employees and most all of them are home businesses.

This may sound too good to be true, but fortunately, there are real opportunities for people like you who are genuinely interested in starting a business. Best of all, there are several different businesses from which to choose. Here are ten of the most popular low cost franchises in the market today.

    #1. Berkeley Brewer
One of the most important things to franchisees as they build their businesses is minimized risk. That’s why so many of them choose franchising over starting from scratch. Berkeley Brewer, a personal tailoring company, is a terrific example of how a franchise can significantly decrease the risk. This company is so dedicated to your success that it will refund your franchise fee if you do not see a return on investment within 12 months. Moreover, this business is easy to manage, which means you don’t have to quit your regular job until your new venture becomes so busy that you have no other choice.

The reassurance with a franchise like this is that you do not have to risk everything – your money and your current means of making money – to change careers.

    #2. CityLocal
Many entrepreneurs start their own businesses because they grow tired of simply doing a job. They want to be part of something groundbreaking. They have an intrinsic desire to make a difference. If this sounds like you, a franchise opportunity with CityLocal should be on your list of franchises to consider. This web-based home business focuses on the economic growth of cities throughout the UK and Ireland. Not only do you have a chance to be part of a profitable, high-traffic website, you also have the satisfaction of making a difference in your community. By offering both free and paid advertising, you keep members of the community abreast with local news and events. At the same time, local businesses have a means of promoting their products and services on your site.

    #3. FirstWills
Transitioning from one career to another can be especially challenging when you’re not sure how much money will be coming in and how often. This is certainly true when it comes to starting a new business. As mentioned, many new entrepreneurs actually lose revenue faster than they can generate it. Nevertheless, one of the best aspects of FirstWills is your ability to earn money in a matter of days. All you have to do is meet with individuals who are ready to write their wills. Then, you write down their instructions and pass the information on to the franchise. You never actually write the will; instead, FirstWills does this for you. And, you make money with each sale you generate.

    #4. Brazilian Soccer Schools
Countless businessmen and women had to take the hard route to building their companies. So many people enter the business world with the mindset that you have to dive in headfirst, quit your job, invest everything you have and hope that it all works out. Fortunately, this is not the only way.

Brazilian Soccer Schools, for example, is a franchise business for sale that allows its newcomers to keep their existing jobs for the first year. This means that you can go through the coaching and business training with your mind focused where it should be – on what you’re learning rather than how much money you wish you were already making. Plus, it gives you time to launch and promote your business whilst you continue to meet current financial obligations.

    #5. Little Angels Children’s Photography
Many new mums must weigh the cost of childcare when deciding whether to return to the workforce. For many of them, the costs of daycare take a large portion of their earnings, which leads them to wonder if going back to work is really worthwhile. After all, not only are they losing a significant amount of their earnings just to childcare costs, they also miss the opportunity to be with their children each day.

If this sounds like your dilemma, you have to determine whether it’s truly worth the money you’re actually bringing home. Still, chances are that you can not afford not to contribute financially. This is where a work from home business opportunity like Little Angels can be very beneficial to mums like you. As a photographer for this company, you will work only four or five days a week for about four hours per day. This means you can take your children to school and be finished in time to pick them up. Most of all, no experience is required. All the training you will need is provided by the franchise. Of course, all franchisees are female because women are generally preferred by preschool aged children.

    #6. Aura Roboclean
There are two ways to make money with this sophisticated cleaning franchise. First, you offer mattress, upholstery and carpet cleaning to hotels, nurseries, nursing homes, offices and other businesses. Nonetheless, this is not your average cleaning company. Aura Roboclean uses only environmentally friendly machines, protecting the earth and dramatically reducing allergens. People are paying more and more attention to the environment, on a global scope in addition to their immediate surroundings.

As you can imagine, this market is expected to treble within the next five years. And, last but not least, you can even sell the equipment to those who are interested. This just increases your chances of profiting from this innovative business opportunity. Most importantly, you can become a franchisee with a very low investment.

    #7. Charisnack
Just as people are striving to live in a better environment, they also want healthier bodies. As a Charisnack business franchise, you will offer healthy snacks and smoothies to people in the workplace. All you have to do is leave the products with your clients and pick up the cash at appropriate intervals.

Furthermore, Charisnack is another franchise that gives you the opportunity to make a real difference. This is true because the company donates a portion of its sales to benefit the National Blind Children’s Society. You don’t have to make the donation. Just being part of this organisation means your efforts will translate to help for others in need.

    #8. UK Websaver
Once again, here is another great home-based business prospect. UK Websaver is a company that markets membership loyalty cards. This is a great product because consumers are always looking for ways to save money; meanwhile, businesses are constantly seeking new ways to promote their products and services. Additionally, this low cost opportunity demands only a limited amount of stock. Working out of your home means that you’re somewhat restricted when it comes to space, but the tiny plastic cards won’t crowd your home office or break your bank.

    #9. Molly Maid
Not everyone will realise the benefits of running a business from home. In contrast, most people work at least eight hours each day. They don’t have the flexible schedule you’ll have as an entrepreneur, which means they will have to hire others to do work around their homes. After working all day, who wants to spend evenings and weekends on housework? This is a tremendous marketing opportunity for you as a Molly Maid franchisee.

For a minimal capital investment, you will become part of the UK’s most recognisable cleaning companies. Rather than building from the ground up, starting a franchise with outstanding name recognition puts you one giant step ahead of your competition. In truth, a well-established brand name is one of the most valuable assets a franchise business has to offer.

    #10. Baby Prints
If you’re a parent, you are already keenly aware of how quickly children grow. And, you also know that parents are always looking for creative ways to capture precious moments with their little ones. The Baby Prints franchise has found a way to make this desire very profitable for you.

If you decide to invest in one of their franchises, you will make impressions of every cherished dimple in baby’s hands and feet. Parents adore this keepsake; at the same time, you get the chance to run a home business. All the independence and flexibility you can expect when running your own company is available to you. And, the most important part is that Baby Prints is one of the low cost business franchises that comes with exclusive sales territory. Not only will you sell a unique product, you won’t have to worry about competition from other franchises.

  • MLM Legal News Rocks The Industry And Serves As Wake Up Call To Many

    Partner 12:00 am on February 29, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

The MLM industry continues on a rocky road these days. Internet based criticism and attack seem to be coming from all directions and at an escalating pace. I for one am not about to be an exception.

Just this past month, in a crucial development that will rock the entire MLM world, the grandfather of them all, Amway (now Quixtar), has been sued in the US District Court in California for running an illegal pyramid scheme. This may be the most damaging news in a long, long time and will surely send shock waves throughout the entire MLM industry.

Too many MLM businesses are run by the wrong people bringing in the wrong people to sell the wrong product these days. Add up all those wrongs and it is obvious why far too many MLM businesses fail to deliver lasting results. Without lasting results, the industry gets the kind of press it is getting.

Forget about the business model or merchandising methodology for a minute and examine the merchandise. From my own experienced observation and evaluation, fully 70 percent of the products being offered up by the industry as marketable and profitably viable, are not. Another 10 percent are borderline scenarios.

If you think that is harsh, you are right.

What disturbs me is that with all the negativity generated by businesses that thinking people know should not even exist; the strengths of MLM or Network Marketing are too easily overlooked.

Sound MLM or Network Marketing companies are many. And sound MLM or Network Marketing businesses are out there alright, and they have been healthy and very successful for a long time.

    But here’s the real lesson:

Success sells success, not gimmicky merchandise of questionable value. The reason success sells success is because success buys into success, and success brings success.

The fact is success is a full circle, a very tight full circle. Successful people are interested in other successful people because they can derive a personal benefit from such an association.

If you are a success and the business you represent can demonstrate success, then you have something other successful people are interested in, and believe me; if successful people are interested, they will find you.

There will always be some new electronic fly zapper or wonder wrinkle cream come along and some of these items and their accompanying MLM business model might do well for awhile, and for a select few.

Concentrate your energy, business sense, and success into finding and aligning with success. Fortunately, some things never change.
