  • How To Get Involved With Calls Routing?

Sometimes they call it skills-based call routing. Hence, the strict definition of this category is involved with a certain call assignment strategy, which can be used in many call centers to target the assigning of incoming calls to a suitable agent, instead of selecting the next existed agent.

Skills based routing or S.B.R., as we know, is considered an enhancement to the automatic call distributor systems that may found in many call centers. There are continued necessities to use this type widely.

Previously, agents who are answering calls were assigned to one only queue taking one category of call. Yet, agents who deal with many call types ought to be manually reassigned to various queue at various times per the day, to be able to do their utmost usage of their skills. They had to face a wide several of calls, which they were not trained previously for them.

Generally, with the S.B.R., we can see that the number dialed of telephone, the selection made in any associated I.V.R. system, and the number of calling as well often assessed the skills required for a certain call.

The S.B.R. in this regards are trying to match the call to a trained well agent, to be able to submit a better service instead of only one who does not.

It is appeared that each caller get his own waiting area, which he may share with one person only. In the skills based routing, calls can be served as agents with suitable skills.

As to the positiveness of the skills based routing, this enhanced technology can improve well the customer service. It may lesser the time of call handling. It provides training easier and increases the utilization of the agent as well as his productivity and revenue.

Yet, some criticism arose that the S.B.R. involves many complexity of skills, which may not get the expected benefits required. There is a difficulty of predetermining the skills required, which may be resulted in some deficits in providing services, due to using the poor measures of service quality.

Recently, there are some trials and researches aiming to get the most suitable benefits from it. The necessity to get the convenient operations research models and queuing theory are important to be able to solve problems existed.

Operations research models are actually considered an interdisciplinary branch of the applied formal and mathematics science, which may use certain methods, such as algorithms, statistics, and mathematical modeling to be able to get the optimal solutions to many complex issues. This issue is very important to assist in realizing the aimed targets, while getting involved with skills based routing.

The queuing theory in this matter is concerned with studying the waiting lines mathematically to enable the mathematical analysis of various related process, while dealing with S.B.R..

Skills based routing is not easy. Yet, understanding it deeply is required to be able to enhance the progress of your call center perfectly.

  • Franchise Opportunities Take All And Give Little Back

    Partner 12:00 am on September 29, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

What does owning your own business and owning a franchise have in common? Other than having to manage the business, there really is very little in common. With franchise opportunities, you don’t get to make any executive decisions, and you have to share your success with corporate America.

When you own your own business, there is less risk, believe it or not, than owning a franchise, so long as you know which niche to fill. If you go out and purchase a fast food franchise, you’ll be expected to invest a certain amount of money. If you were starting your own business, your risk would end there. However, with franchises, your beginning investment is not the total sum of your monetary risk.

With franchise opportunities, you can expect additional hidden costs, franchise fees, marketing fees, and you’ll have to hand over a significant portion of your monetary success. The main reason that people seek to own their own businesses is to enjoy the success of that business, without having to split it with someone who has done, comparatively speaking, very little work.

Those who are partial to franchising might say that you get your marketing done for you by corporate America. However, that is handled by marketing fees, usually calculated as a percentage of sales. Between franchising and marketing fees, you could expect to pay almost one fifth of your monthly sales, and you have no say over what you market, to whom and how.

Watch out for the fine print, because even though the initial investment may seem akin to that required to start your own business, there are bound to be other fees and costs in addition to that original investment amount. In some cases, additional costs can amount to a price equal to the original investment price.

Currently, saving for retirement is more important than ever before. With more people living longer, relying on social security payments is no longer wise. Imagine being told your investment into a franchise opportunity will amount to one hundred fifty thousand dollars. After all is said and done, extra fees and costs are added in, your total investment to get the franchise up and running is three hundred thousand dollars.

After the first three months you’ve earned that back in gross sales. Nearly twenty percent goes back to the corporation to cover your franchise and marketing fees, leaving you with two hundred forty thousand dollars. You have to order supplies, because after the first three months, you’ve gone through everything covered by your start up cost.

Suppose that leaves you with one hundred thousand dollars. Then you have to pay employees, taxes and benefits. If you have ten employees, each earning one thousand dollars a month, that’s another thirty thousand dollars, so you’re down to seventy thousand. After taxes and benefits, that leaves you with fifty thousand dollars. You have to still pay utility bills, and also cover any training for yourself or others, because the corporation will only cover training for a limited time. Let’s say that your net profit is thirty thousand dollars after three months, or ten thousand a month.

From that, you have to cover your own expenses, so suppose you take five thousand a month to pay for your mortgage and other living costs. Five years would go by before your business has earned your original investment, and then and only then could you start counting any money made as pure profit. Now, compare that to investing less than one hundred twenty thousand into your own business. In less than three years, based on the described example, your business would be earning a profit.

  • What is Branding? What is Marketing?

    Partner 12:00 am on September 28, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

Branding & Marketing. Are you confused about these 2 important elements of business? You are not alone. Nowaday, 94% of business owners, entrepreneurs & business tycoons do not know the difference between Branding and Marketing. So, they are not maximizing the corporate profits that they could have generated. They are losing 37% to 370% sales that belong to them daily. If you want to stop losing all these
    sales/profits, keep on reading.

    So, what is Branding?

The American Marketing Association (AMA) defines a brand as a “name, term, sign, symbol or design, or a combination of them intended to identify the goods & services of one seller or group of sellers & to differentiate them from those of other sellers. Branding is all about differentiation. It is what you do to differentiate your brand. It is what you do to differentiate your company from other companies.

For instance, Apple brands itself as “COOL”. Apple differentiates itself from competitors by creating COOL products. FedEX brands itself as “Overnight delivery”. FedEX differentiate itself from all other postage service companies by being the first company that dedicates to overnight delivery.

    Why is branding important?

In today competitive business environment, businesses have to position themselves strategically in order to compete. Branding is what makes you stand out from your competitors. Why the customers choose you instead of your competitors?

Let’s use the same example, FedEx & UPS. FedEx’s brand is all about fast delivery, overnight delivery. If you need to deliver an urgent document fast, FedEx will pop up in your mind immediately. Whereas for UPS, it’s brand is all about security & protection. UPS promise to keep every day & the people that stand behind the UPS shield. If you have an important document, you will choose UPS.

    Then, what is Marketing?

Marketing is strategies or tactics to communicate your differentiating idea (your brand) to your target clients. Without marketing, your differentiation or your brand is only known to you or few people around you.

For instance, the founder of Apple can brand itself as “COOL”. Without marketing this idea to his target clients, Apple’s cool products could have been only known to Steve Job.

There is a lot of well-known marketing tactics, such as advertising, public relations, direct marketing, referral marketing & online Marketing. All these tactics are channels for you to communicate with your prospects.

So which is more important? Branding or marketing?
Both are equally important. There are just like twin brothers. Without branding, all you marketing effort will be wasted. Basically without any branding, all your marketing efforts are just like shout out loud to the crowd for nothing. Without marketing, your branding is only an idea that sits in your office. You need communicate your Unique Selling Proposition message to your prospects

To summarize, Branding is Differentiation. It is USP (Unique Selling Proposition) for your business. Once you identify your brand USP, then you implement marketing strategies to communicate your Brand to your target clients

  • Joint Venture Marketing: Reducing the Costs of Your Advertising

    Partner 12:00 am on September 26, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

A joint venture marketing partnership is an enterprise undertaken by two or more people or companies, who typically share the expense, and ideally the profits, created by their union. Joint venture marketing agreements do not create new business organizations or third party companies from their union – the idea is for two, or several parties to come together to share ideas, expertise, clients and contacts.

    Advertising Joint Ventures

One of the most popular types of joint venture marketing partnerships involves a sharing of advertising space. This can take several forms:

    - Trading space on your partners website for space on your site
    - Pooling resources to purchase ad space
    - Selling space on your website to your partners.

    Trading Ad Space

Forming a joint venture marketing relationship where the venture involves trading space for website advertising is fairly straightforward. If you have only one partner, you would swap an equal amount of space on your website for advertising for your partners company, and receive the same amount of advertising space on their website in return.

These types of partnerships are mutually beneficial to both parties and usually don’t require an upfront investment of capital. The same principle holds with more than two partners – each partner would be granted ad space on each of the respective websites of their joint venture marketing partners. This can be a highly beneficial arrangement at very little cost or risk – you could expand your advertising capabilities several times over and reach more people than you would independently. This is also a valuable resource because you will often be able to reach a niche of people that you would not be able to reach solely through your own website advertising.

    Purchasing Joint Ad Space

Forming a joint venture marketing partnership where you pool financial resources to purchase advertising space is a valuable way to achieve the high-profile exposure of a paid ad, with a decreased expense. Advertising space, whether on a website or in print, is usually sold in increments of three or four spaces per page. This, of course, will depend on the publication – some will sell as little one sixth or one eights of a page, and you always have the option to purchase a full-page ad.

It is more cost-effective to pool resources with a joint venture partner to purchase ad space because it is cheaper to buy a larger chunk of advertising space, even if it will be used for different ads, than it would be to purchase each advertising spot separately.

    Selling Website Space

Selling ad space on your own company’s website can be a profitable way to raise revenue for your company. If you have already made an agreement to trade ad space with a joint venture partner, but they would like additional space, you may charge them a fee.

Another option is always to sell space on your website in the open market to companies with whom you do not as of yet have a joint venture marketing partnership, and this can also increase your professional contact list and increase the potential for future joint venture marketing partnerships.

  • What's In It For You? Being Selfish In Your Joint Venture Partnership

    Partner 12:00 am on September 26, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

Joint venture marketing, also known as JV marketing, has become a very popular way for businesses to maximize their exposure in the marketplace, as well as their profits. When two or more businesses combine their resources, contacts and clients in a synergistic way, it has the potential to create a larger marketing impact, and greater profits than either entity has the capacity to create on its own.

Put your needs first – even if you are a new business

When entering into a new joint venture marketing partnership, you are creating a relationship, and one that may potentially be a close, profitable and long-term one. Given this, it may be tempting to look at the partnership from the perspective of your partners to be sure that their needs are being met and that the deal is fair to them. This is important, as people who are not being offered a fair deal are unlikely to be happy with the long-term relationship. But, the first thing you must ask yourself and have a positive answer for is, What’s in it for me? It is essential to secure a fair and profitable deal for yourself and your company.

If you have just started a business, or are new to the practice of joint venture marketing, it may be tempting to think that you should accept a lesser deal because your partner is doing you a favor by deciding to engage in a partnership with a novice. This is the time to be selfish! Do not undermine your potential or sell yourself short by getting into a partnership that doesn’t offer equal benefits to you. If you accept a deal like this, it has the potential to backfire down the road for a couple of reasons:

    - Your partner may develop an undervalued perception of your company
    - It may affect your partnerships and profits down the road
    - You may not be enjoying your fair share of joint revenues

Don’t set precedence for lowered profits

When starting a new joint venture marketing partnership, if you accept a lower percentage of profits or of advertising space, this tends to set a precedent where your partners may then expect you to continually accept a lesser deal. And if this sort of thinking continues, it has the potential to breed resentment on your part and affect your professional relationship with your partner, but it may also affect the future of your bottom line and company profits.

If you are new to the market or new to a business, you have just as much to offer as an established company. They may have a larger and more grounded client list and more experience, but particularly with the climate of Internet business, it is vital to offer something new and cutting edge. You may benefit from their expertise, but they will benefit from your fresh ideas and perspective.

Keep in mind that you may not have the same things to offer as your partners, but you have just as much value to bring to the venture. It is fine to look out for yourself and the interests of your company, and probably a good way to embark on your joint venture marketing partnerships. Being selfish doesn’t entail being unfair or rude – simply keeping the interests of your business at the front of your mind, which is exactly what your partner will be doing for his or her own company!

  • Your Online Home Business and Network Marketing

    Partner 12:00 am on September 26, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

Whether you own a business or are an enthusiastic entrepreneur looking for a successful career, network marketing may often be the answer to solving financial woes as well as making dreams come true.

There are different tasks you need to complete in order to ensure successful network marketing.
Things you need to do and make sure of,when you own a business are different than things you must do if you are looking to start a business.

Network marketing will not necessarily help you start your own business, but it can help get your foot in the door,so to speak, with other companies, it will get your name out there, and it will give you lots of necessary experience you need in order to run your own business.

The Tips below explains network marketing and how it relates to you.

    1.Network Marketing For Business Owners

This is probably the most complicated of the three categories. When you own a business, you want to make sure that you stay successful. In order to do
this, there are a few things you need to make sure of when considering network marketing.
*First off you need to know that what you are attempting to sell will be good for the
network marketing area. Network marketing is often done over the Internet, so you will want to be positive that your product is able to be sold over the Internet.
*Secondly, you’ll want to be sure that ordinary people can sell your product and that ordinary
people will buy your product. This is one of the biggest keys to success in the area of network marketing. Research the type of product you’re selling, and see how successful it has been with network marketing in the past. You are likely to have more competition, but you’ll have a better chance at succeeding.

    2.Network Marketing For Entrepreneurs

If you’re an entrepreneur wanting to get your own business underway, network marketing can be an excellent place to begin. It will give you an inside as to what it is like to sell and advertise for your own products (of course, the products are not specifically yours, but when you invest into a certain company and sell for them, you now own part of that company).

You’ll want to invest in a company that is already successful or that is obviously becoming successful very quickly. If the business goes under, you will lose your investment. You must do your share of the
work,as well. If you depend solely on the business for your success without thinking you have to do any work, you will not reach your goals. You have to work for what you want.

    3.Network Marketing For Consumers

Network marketing can be the easiest form of buying goods and services. You really will never have to leave your own home, and you can purchase almost anything from the Internet. This method saves lots of time, effort and money, saving gas,and that is the beauty of network marketing. This method makes sales go more quickly and smoothly, without the hassle of waiting, calling, ordering, shipping, extra fees, and lots of other things.

  • Why Your Business Needs Asset Management Software

    Partner 12:00 am on September 26, 2008 | 0 Permalink | Reply

Being a business manager can be a complicated and daunting endeavor. There are multitudes of responsibilities ranging from human resources, to advertising, and even tracking inventory. With all of these responsibilities heaped on the shoulders of management, keeping track of company assets is a task that can land on the bottom of the “to do” list. But the reality is that losing assets means losing money, which is why your business needs asset management software.

Many business owners still subscribe to the idea that only colossal corporations, employing hundreds of people, and producing vast quantities of goods, need to implement asset tracking software. Unfortunately, in today’s ever changing business environment this is no longer the case. Businesses small to large are implementing tracking systems for their inventory and data, due to the massive effects inventory and data loss can have on a company’s bottom line.

Asset management software comes in many different variations, so it’s not a case of “one size fits all”. Likewise, you need not worry about the cost, as that aspect is geared to the complexity of system. You will find most of it fully customizable, so that your software can be as diverse as your business. This makes it easy to create and manage a day-to-day workflow environment once it’s up and running. Service businesses will use data tracking software to track shared data flows, whereas product businesses implement inventory tracking systems.

Most asset management software programs come with the capability of sophisticated reporting features. This will provide a comprehensive snapshot of configured inventory, devices and usages, putting you in the driver’s seat of your business. Imagine having a centralized repository for all of the data you require, available at your fingertips, in the blink of an eye. With the increased demand for real time data being prevalent in the workplace, this is truly an amazing feature of these asset management products.

Stock control software solutions can make inventory headaches a thing of the past. This is accomplished by making a quick and easy bar coding system. All it takes are a few keystrokes and inventory auditing is complete. The codes are then uploaded into the asset management software database and the centralized access is created. This makes it easy to track any inventory anywhere and anytime you need it.

Regardless of whether you are the manager of a service based company that requires shared access to different assets on many servers, or the manager of a small business where you have various pieces of inventory, asset management software is a must. This simple to use, yet comprehensive product has revolutionized the way assets are tracked, relieving managers and business owners of a time-consuming task. Why not free yourself to concentrate on growing your business by using asset management software? It will prove to be the best resource and auditing tool that your business will ever require.
